Spellbreaking Training

3rd-level Spellbreaking feature

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill. If you already have this proficiency, you may choose another skill proficiency from the fighter’s skill list.

Also at 3rd level, you've learned how to fortify yourself against magic through intense training. You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Disruptive Strike

3rd-level Spellbreaker feature

Beginning at 3rd level, when you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can attempt to disrupt the creature's magical capabilities. The creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw (DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier, your choice) or it has disadvantage on the next spell cast before the end of its next turn. If the creature is already concentrating on a spell, add your proficiency bonus to the Concentration Saving Throw DC they must make to maintain concentration. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, resetting on a long rest.

Starting at level 18, your Disruptive Strike feature disrupts the magic of the target more violently. On a failed save, the target is unable to cast spells until the end of its next turn.

Counter Magic

7th-level Spellbreaker feature

Starting at 7th level, you can use your reaction to deflect or catch the magic when you are hit by a spell or other magical effect. When you do so, the damage you take from the effect is reduced by 1d10 + your fighter level. If you reduce the damage to 0, you can reflect the spell back at its caster, using the original attack roll and damage roll.

At 18th level, your spellbreaking abilities reach their zenith. When you reflect a spell using your Counter Magic feature, the spell is enhanced, dealing an additional 2d10 force damage to the target. The amount of damage taken to determine if the effect is reflected increases to 2d10 + your fighter level.

Spellbreaking Aura

10th-level Psi Warrior feature

Beginning at 10th level, your disruptive presence extends to shield those around you. You and allies within 10 feet of you gain a bonus to saving throws against magical effects equal to your proficiency bonus. This aura is active as long as you are not incapacitated.

Aura of Nullification

15th-level Spellbreaker feature

At 15th level, your disruptive aura becomes even more potent. While your Spellbreaking Aura is active, when a creature casts a spell within your reach, you may attempt to disrupt the spell in the same way as Counterspell. This disruption cannot be counterspelled itself. Your spell save DC is determined by 8 + your Intelligence modifier + your proficiency bonus. You may use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. This ability must be declared before saving throws or roll to hit have been determined. All expended uses are reset on a long rest.

Master Spellbreaker

18th-level Spellbreaker feature

At 18th level, your spellbreaking abilities reach their zenith. When you reflect a spell using your Counter Magic feature, the spell is enhanced, dealing an additional 2d10 force damage to the target. The amount of damage taken to determine if the effect is reflected increases to 2d10 + your fighter level. Furthermore, your Disruptive Strike feature disrupts the magic of the target more violently. On a failed save, the target is unable to cast spells until the end of its next turn.
