Dessid

Born from the magic of autumn’s embrace, the Dessid are fey beings woven from enchanted leaves. Their bodies shift in hues of deep crimson, golden yellow, and burnt orange, mirroring the changing seasons. Drifting between realms, they carry the wisdom of the forest and the whispers of the Feywild. Some serve as wandering storytellers, while others protect sacred groves hidden within the mortal world. Though delicate in form, their resilience rivals the mightiest of oaks, and their presence heralds both change and renewal.

Dessid Traits

When you choose the Dessid as your character’s species, you gain the following traits.

Creature Type

You are a Fey.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Sylvan.

Size

You are Small or Medium (your choice when you select this species).

Fey Resilience

You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic cannot put you to sleep.

Whispering Leaves

Your body carries the lingering magic of autumn’s winds. You know the Thaumaturgy cantrip.

You regain the ability to cast these spells when you finish a long rest.

Deciduous Regeneration

When you finish a short or long rest, you regain hit points equal to your level + your proficiency bonus, even if you are otherwise unable to heal. You can use this trait once per long rest.

Seasonal Glide

When you fall, you can use your reaction to reduce fall damage by five times your level. If you land within 10 feet of another creature, you may cause swirling leaves to lightly obscure the area until the start of your next turn.

Natural Camouflage

When you are in lightly obscured terrain (such as foliage, mist, or dim light), you can use the Hide action as a bonus action.
