Zorvash is an enigmatic orc god with striking green skin, contrasting with his attire, which is draped in regal purple. His eyes glow with an unsettling, faintly yellow hue, adding to his mystique. His presence seems both alluring and unsettling, drawing followers into the depths of the Feydark.
Zorvash rules over the mysterious and uncharted realm known as the Feydark. It exists as a twilight reflection of the Feywild, shrouded in perpetual dusk and twilight. Within this shadowy domain, Zorvash's influence is profound, and his followers revere him as the keeper of secrets, enigmatic wisdom, and strange morality.
In the forgotten epochs of the world, when magic flowed freely and realms intermingled with the Feywild, Zorvash was born amidst the chaotic energies of the untamed planes. His origin remains a riddle, as he suddenly manifested, a being of unbridled eccentricity and power. It is said that he emerged from a nexus of dreams and shadows, as if the essence of the Feydark had coalesced into a sentient entity.
From the beginning, Zorvash's nature puzzled even the wisest of sages. He exhibited a strange sense of morality, where actions deemed horrific by some were seen as just and necessary by his followers. In the Feydark, his domain, creatures that dwelt in darkness revered him as a benevolent and unpredictable deity, believing that his strange punishments were simply manifestations of cosmic justice.
The Feydark itself became Zorvash's realm, a place where reality warped and dreams danced on the precipice of nightmares. The borders between fantasy and reality blurred, and the rules of nature were twisted into unpredictable shapes. Mortals who dared to enter the Feydark experienced both wonder and terror, for Zorvash's influence left no being untouched.
It was in the Feydark that Zorvash's peculiar punishments became infamous. Rather than dispensing conventional justice, he applied enigmatic consequences to those who transgressed his domain's laws. Turning an offender into a cobblestone to be forever run over by the feet of passersby or transforming someone into an old leather boot seemed whimsical and arbitrary to outsiders. However, in the twisted logic of the Feydark, these punishments were a fitting resolution to cosmic disturbances.
To his followers, Zorvash's actions were tests of character and opportunities for growth. Those deemed worthy of his favor might be granted boons of strange magic or bestowed with visions of arcane knowledge. He was revered as the keeper of hidden wisdom, and those who sought his guidance would often venture into the depths of the Feydark to find elusive truths.
Outside the Feydark, tales of Zorvash's unpredictable nature struck fear into the hearts of those who heard them. Travelers and adventurers spoke of eerie laughter echoing in the dark, and whispers of his enigmatic presence gave birth to unsettling legends. Many believed that crossing paths with the orc god could lead to dreadful fates, yet his followers saw the capriciousness of fate as a testament to his divine nature.
As millennia passed, Zorvash's realm remained hidden from most, tucked away in the twilight recesses of the Feywild. Only the most daring, or perhaps the most desperate, sought him out, hoping to gain insight into the mysteries of the world or secure his peculiar blessings. But the god of the Feydark remained elusive, a riddle wrapped in an enigma, forever confounding those who dared to seek his favor.
Campaign Specific Interactions
In Campaign 1, Kingdom of the Gods, Zorvash was unknowingly carried around in a Bag of Devouring. He would feast on magical items and people that the party fed him. He was captured here when in one of the timelines, a follower of his begged for his intervention and he accepted. During a fight with Talavar, he was trapped in an illusory trap and Talavar was able to pull a Bag of Holding over Zorvash and closed tight. He was weakened from this state and unable to escape the bag. He beleives if he can make it back to the Feywild, he can draw on his power and escape.Â
Zorvash, freed by the Betas, aided them in their fight with Talavar to destroy the phylactery within him. Once destroyed, Zorvash restored life in Talavar, only to trap him in an Iron Flask as punishment, given to him by Randisimo, the artificer. As a reward, Zorvash rewarded the party with powerful magic items and even offered a wish to Randisimo. Randisimo used the wish to gain Zorvash's blessing and a small amount of his power, and his hat.
