Tauronax, a minotaur god, is a towering and wrathful beast. His fur, the color of dust clouds, billows with the winds he commands, and his eyes blaze with the relentless fire of a sandstorm. Born from the wrath of the earth itself, Tauronax first emerged during a time when the world was scorched by a relentless sun, the land pleading for respite. He answered with a tempest, a storm so mighty it darkened the skies and reshaped the dunes.

The most infamous event in Tauronax's history is the Calamity of the Shifting Sands. A once-thriving kingdom sought to conquer the deserts, to claim them for farmlands and cities, ignorant of the desert's sacred desolation. Tauronax's anger was swift and devastating. He unleashed a dust storm so vast and relentless that it engulfed the kingdom entirely, erasing it from the map and returning the land to its pristine, uninhabited state.

The Calamity of the Shifting Sands serves as a stark reminder of Tauronax's wrath and the respect due to the wild spaces of the world. It is commemorated each year by the nomadic tribes with the Night of Whispers, where they cover their faces in dust and recount the tales of the fallen kingdom, celebrating their survival and reverence for the desert’s unforgiving beauty.
