As the God of Desire, Initet epitomizes the very nature of want and the lengths to which beings will go to satisfy their deepest yearnings. His domain extends beyond mere material greed, encompassing the myriad longings of the heart and soul, making him a being of profound influence. Often sought out by those who have never had what they yearn for, so much so they would risk imprisonment and death to achieve it.

Residing in a vast desert, Initet's abode is a grand pyramid, a testament to his might and nature. Within this sandy expanse, the pyramid rises as an anomaly, its purpose as strange as the god who constructed it. At its core lies a hidden chamber, a sanctum for Initet’s most treasured acquisitions. Here, among the shadows and silence, he safeguards the fruits of his divine creativity and the spoils of his universal collection.

Initet's essence is inexorably bound to an ancient, ornate lamp, harking back to the earliest whispers of his origin story. It is whispered among the scholars and mystics that before ascending to his place in the pantheon, Initet was once a genie of great power. His transition from servitude to sovereignty was marked by the binding of his spirit to this lamp, a symbolic vessel of containment that mirrors the nature of desire itself—limitless in potential yet confined by circumstance. This lamp, now a relic of immense power and the heart of his temple, serves as both a throne and a prison, a testament to the boundless ambition that spurred his rise from ethereal servitude to divine authority. It is within this vessel that the God of Desire weaves his influence, granting wishes that are as capricious as the fates they bring forth, reflecting the dual nature of desire and consequence that defines his existence.

Initet’s form is as fluid, as he was born a blue plasmoi, he can mold his essence into any visage, but he favors the guise of a humanoid—this is believed to be to make himself more appealing to the humanoids of Rotania. In the eyes of his divine peers, Initet is an inventor, a divine artisan of the arcane, crafting spells, tools, and weapons of unimaginable power. Yet, this facet of his identity is obscured, known only to a select few, for Initet covets his inventions as jealously as any mortal clings to their dreams.

His most infamous creation, a weapon with the potential to slay gods, became the centerpiece of a celestial drama that ended in tragedy. The death of Zaxon, a fellow deity, was attributed to Initet’s malevolent genius. However, this was a facade, a narrative woven by the gods to mask a more unsettling truth—that mortals had slain Zaxon using mundane magics. In a bid to deter others from attempting deicide, the pantheon propagated the lie of Initet’s guilt. This subterfuge served a dual purpose. In reality, Initet had ensnared Zoren, a lich god, and needed to maintain vigilant secrecy. By shouldering the blame for Zaxon’s demise, Initet willingly retreated into seclusion, ensuring that his watch over the malevolent Zoren went undisturbed by mortal heroes or prying eyes.

A grim and macabre pact was struck—the souls of Initet’s followers would be harvested, their life force funneled to sustain the god’s power, all in service of containing Zoren. And for a time, this system functioned, until the fateful day when an orc named Borg, deceived by Zoren, shattered the magical binds of the lich god’s prison.

In the ensuing cataclysm, Initet was slain, his watch ended, and Zoren ascended once more to seize control of the pantheon. Initet's life was cut short of his destiny and as a result, he was unable to pass along important memories and knowledge of his arcane tools that once helped trap Zoren.

The legacy of Initet, the Collector, lingers on, a cautionary tale of ambition and sacrifice, a reminder that even the divine are not immune to the perilous whims of desire.
