Tiberius Axelblade, the Divine Bulwark, is the god of strength, guardianship, and indomitable resolve. He is the unshakable wall that stands when others fall, the final shield between ruin and survival. His name is invoked by those who protect, endure, and bear burdens too great for others.
Tiberius appears as a broad-shouldered giff warrior, often unarmored, his axe always within reach but never drawn unless needed. His voice is low, steady, and measured—he is not given to speeches, but to action.
His realm, The Stoneward Bastion, is a fortress carved into a mountain forged by divine will. Its gates are always open to those seeking refuge, but none may enter with ill intent. Within, the walls themselves test visitors—not with riddles, but with burdens. Only those with the will to carry more than their own weight may pass unhindered.
Tiberius is more than a god of might—he is a legacy bearer. He has sired many offspring across eras and bloodlines, and these descendants are often blessed with divine strength and an eternal purpose: to guard places of vital knowledge and cosmic balance. Where Othniel records and preserves, and Janus seals and conceals, Tiberius stations his lineage as protectors.
His descendants watch over ancient and hidden sanctuaries, including, but not limited to:
The Spiral Lament – a sealed sanctuary between realms, watched over by Othniel, Tiberius, and ?.
The Redhold Cairn – a fortress library protected by a blood-bound order of giant-blooded champions
The Ossuary of Ended Wars – where weapons of apocalyptic conflict are kept sealed by sacred pact
The Soulforge Archive – a buried hall where spirits of fallen heroes are etched into obsidian tablets
These guardians do not always know their divine bloodline, but they feel its weight. In times of great need, the strength of Tiberius awakens in them—called not to conquer, but to withstand.
Worshipers of Tiberius include bodyguards, fortress builders, siege-breakers, and oathbound defenders. His temples are built as citadels, not chapels—each one a symbol of perseverance. His teachings emphasize discipline, endurance, and protection over dominance.
Miracles tied to Tiberius include unbreakable walls rising overnight, mortals enduring fatal wounds until their duty is done, or a single warrior holding back legions without tiring. In the most dire moments, his axe, Final Mercy, is said to appear in the hand of his chosen descendant—burning with divine resolve.
Though often seen as stoic, Tiberius is deeply loyal to his allies. He stands with Othniel, shielding knowledge from destruction, and with Janus, defending the thresholds no mortal must ever cross. Together, they are the last line—the mind, the gate, and the muscle that protects what must never fall.
These celestial gauntlets are forged from a mysterious metal that glows with an otherworldly aura. They are adorned with intricate carvings of celestial constellations.
Godly Grip: Once per day, the wearer can channel Tiberius's strength, gaining immense strength for 1 minute, enough to lift or move massive objects.
Harmonious Hold: Once per long rest, the wearer can emit an aura of unity, giving allies within 30 feet advantage on all Strength-based checks and saving throws.
Celestial Mend: As an action, the wearer can cast Greater Mending once per day. A spell that allows the wearer to repair any structure or object that is damaged that is less than 120 cubic meters (or 120 m^3). The materials to repair the structure must be present and within 10 feet of the structure. This cannot repair magical properties or biological properties. The shortest any dimension can be when determining cubic size is 1 meter.
Cubic meters determined by Height X Width X Depth. So for example a door is 2.5 meters tall, 1 meter wide, 0.05 deep. Rounding 0.05 meters to 1 meter, the formula becomes 2.5 * 1 * 1 = 2.5 m^3.
Or for example, a small home is completely demolished, but all the materials are still present. To size is 8 meters deep, 5 meters wide, and 3 meters tall. The formula is 8 * 5 * 3 = 120 m^3.
